The last morning in Yellowstone there were lots of muttering about animals in the area. On our way out I certainly saw my fair share. Between the standard Bison and being lucky enough to see a grizzly my first time out, we had a meeting with this guy. I'm not a hunter, but I certainly had an amazing, quiet, experience. After hearing how dangerous these guys can be, it was truly profound for him to let me photograph him without any agitation.
o.O What IS that creature? An Elk? a Deer? I only know my local African fauna....
It's an Elk. And it's actually from Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming America.
same here, you are very lucky to be able to see them^^
Amazing capture! I love the way the light hits his antlers!
Incredible. I'd be scared stiff.
Amazing shot. <3

Great shot, and nice color too! Beautiful job! ^ ^
Beautiful photo! I, too, was able to see a large bull up close when I was at Yellowstone. Such magnificent creatures, aren't they? I love the yellow lighting in this photo--great work.
You're the best type of hunter- the one who shoots things with a camera
The thought crossed my mind a couple of times. It's funny cause a part of the story I left out was there was a Japanese guy with me that I didn't know. I speak a little Japanese but not enough to get me anywhere. And the cool part was, that we had to communicate with each other without speaking to not upset the big guy. It really made me appreciate other photographers in the field a lot more because of the respect he gave to me so I could get a shot I was happy with, and then he take his turn. Sorry to ramble on, it made just made me reminisce a little here.
Wow, gorgeous shot!
Very nice photo !
